Joanna Sobran President Co-Founder

As co-founder and President of MXOtech, Joanna Sobran has almost 10 years’ of IT and consulting industry experience in all phases of design, project management, implementation and training. She brings to MXOtech’s clients many years of corporate business experience and a full understanding of IT systems, as well as the importance of developing and maintaining high-quality systems as they affect an organization’s success. Her approach to each client brings a unique perspective of her understanding of the business needs of each organization combined with her passion for IT and her complete understanding of the mission-critical role information technology plays in MXOtech’s client organizations.

Additionally, Joanna Sobran has vast experience in technology personnel placement on both short- and long-term projects and permanent positions for various Chicago corporations. Her ability to fully grasp the qualifications for the job is invaluable to her clients in making the best placement and fit without wasting precious time and resources in the hiring process.

As President, Joanna is responsible for the daily operations of the MXOtech, the acquisition of new clients, and general staff hiring and development. Joanna also heads the team responsible for the placement of IT and technical professionals with client organizations.

Joanna Sobran and Michael Dugan co-founded MXOtech in August 2005 as a new kind of company that could help businesses grow through the use of technology solutions. Since then, the company’s problem-solving, practical approach to long and short-term issues, combined with wide hands-on experience and industry knowledge, has led to double-digit revenue increases each year. Andrew Armonaitis Help Desk Administrator

Andrew Armonaitis is the Help Desk Administrator for MXOtech, supporting our Sr. Network Administrators. Andrew has over six years of experience in desktop support and administration, previously spending three years working as an independent IT consultant, supporting clients in various industries. Andrew also has a strong background in customer service and is very experienced with Microsoft Office applications. The time Andrew doesn’t spend in front of a computer is often spent in front of a book; he is as comfortable talking about the works of Mark Twain and Edgar Allan Poe as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Brian Connelly Sr. Applications Architect

Brian Connelly has been with MXOtech since its inception, bringing 20 years of industry experience to the organization. Brian’s breadth and depth of experience, combined with his ongoing commitment to staying abreast of all of the latest software architecture evolution allows him to craft innovative solutions for a wide variety of clients that work to maximize the client’s existing infrastructure while bringing them up to date with industry developments.

Brian has worked in diverse industries including Healthcare, Insurance, Finance and Robotics as a Developer and Architect standardizing and documenting development methodologies. By remaining deeply involved in actual development work, Brian is able to apply “real-world” experience to designing architectures, delivering designs (and delivery schedules!) that are practical and realistic. Brian graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Psychology. He’s an avid martial-arts practitioner and instructor as well as a professional stunt-coordinator. Cinzia Sarussi Staff Accountant

Cinzia is the Staff Accountant at MXOtech supporting the accounting department managing finances, internal controls, human resources and policies and procedures. Cinzia has over 10 years of experience including Accounting, Human Resources and Benefits Administration. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from University of Illinois at Chicago. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and being an amateur comedian.


George Mirov Technical Analyst

George Mirov is our Technical Analyst, supporting clients with application development projects utilizing .NET and SharePoint technologies. George has a BS in Information Systems & International Business from William Jewell College and a MA in Information Management Systems from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). His previous positions were at Tellabs and IIT ranging from Quality Assurance to Reporting and Analysis. George is passionate about his yoga practice, holistic healing and nutrition. Antoaneta Popova Lead Systems Analyst

Toni brings over six years of systems experience leading ERP software implementations, upgrades and data migrations. She is an experienced developer of healthcare and financial reports warehoused within SharePoint portals and retrieved from a variety of sources and databases. She has performed system IT audits to assure best practices and internal controls. Toni graduated from William Jewell College with a BA in International Business and a BS in Information Systems. Toni enjoys 'cooking' raw foods and traveling around the world.


Khader Abdul Lead Developer

Khader is a certified Applications Developer with a Master's degree in Software Technology. For the past seven years, Khader has been working extensively with Dot Net technologies, programming client server applications, developing and integrating web applications and web services using ASP.Net, AJAX, SQL and WCF Services in .Net. Khader is part of MXO's development team, customizing applications built on SharePoint portals and SQL reporting services. His experience working in HealthCare, Commercial, Food, and Trading Industries allows him to blend his business requirements with software applications efficiently. Khader enjoys playing badminton, chess and is also enthusiastic about Mobile Application Development.


Michael Dugan CTO Co-Founder

Michael Dugan is co-founder and CTO of MXOtech, with over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. Michael’s practical business approach to IT combined with his hands-on experience and wide knowledge in the field enables him to quickly assess a Network Infrastructure need or situation and develop a workable, cost-effective plan that best meets the needs of the customer.

With a reputation for problem-solving and innovative solutions, Michael serves as a catalyst of business growth for many of MXOtech’s clients. He has spearheaded the company’s mission of enabling businesses of all sizes to receive first-level service, and leveraging technology to make their offices and operations more efficient. He is also responsible for direction and development of all of MXOtech’s field personnel.

William Orellana Network System Administrator

William Orellana aka Will is our Network System Administrator with over five years of experience in Information Technology specializing in Network Administration and Managed Services. Will has worked in various industries including consulting, healthcare and non-for-profit. He has a passion for technology and is always interested in the latest technical trends and gadgets. When he's not learning and testing the latest gadgets, he spends his time at the gym, listening to music, or taking care of his pets.
