Windows 7 |

 Windows
7 is finally debuting at the end of the month and users for
the first time in a long while finally have a real reason to
consider upgrading. Microsoft has learned its lesson from
the problematic launch that plagued Vista's debut and has
brought forth their most elegant and stable operating system
yet. Since Windows 7 is built on a modified core of Vista,
any program that currently works in Vista is pretty much
guaranteed to work with Windows 7. Microsoft has also been
able to streamline much of the fat out of Vista, allowing
for a faster environment. They have been able to supply a
number of "WOW" factors to the new operating system, with
features that enhance a number of ideas started in Vista.
Microsoft has setup a slider for the User Account Control
allowing users to decide exactly how often they want Windows
to notify them of alerts. The Aero interface has also been
fine tuned featuring new tweaks that will help productivity
in the long run. Want to focus on one window while
minimizing the rest? Simply grab the title bar and shake the
mouse. Need to review two documents side by side? Grab the
title bar of the one document and drag it all the way to the
right end of the screen, it will then fill only half the
screen while dragging the other document to the other end
will fill its side of the screen.
Best of all many users who purchased a new computer after
June 26th, 2009 you are eligible for a free upgrade. Contact
your computer manufacturer to find out if you are among the
groups of people eligible for this upgrade.
Microsoft has worked hard on making Windows 7 the next true
operating system that Vista was supposed to be. We at
MXOtech have had the chance to play with a pre-release build
for a few months now and found that Microsoft's efforts have
paid off. Windows 7 is finally the upgrade Windows users
have been looking for.
